Northern schoolboy, Gary Worrall, with a confident air and precocious understanding of the money market bets his best mate a hamburger he can be worth £1M by the end of his half term school break. Aided and abetted in this plan by school mate Brian Thurrock all goes smoothly until his plan runs him into the path of the beautiful, older, Lisa. Suddenly the sixteen year old starts to lose a little of that confidence and realises that life in the 'real' world is much more complicated than the theory in the classroom. He ends up caught up in his own web of lies and on a plane to New York to complete the purchase of an office block with everything spiralling out of control.
