The Hull Truck Company's production of Tim Firth's Christmas comedy, THE FLINT STREET NATIVITY is receiving great reviews during its run. WHATSONSTAGE's Gary Clark says, Every "child" was a parody of their doting parents and the traits came out, time and time again in their actions and dialogue with hilarious consequences." THE FLINT STREET NATIVITY runs until 14 January 2012. The comedy is playing to full houses but tickets are available from the Hull Truck Theatre's Box Office: 01482 323638 or on-line HERE. aNEVILLE'S ISLAND premieres in Germany
A production of Tim Firth's stage play NEVILLE'S ISLAND premieres in Hamburg in January 2012. The play, in German, will be directed by Olivier award winning Michael Bogdanov, and opens at the Hamburger Kammerspiele Theater on 15 January. More Information on the WHAT'S ON PAGE. (15/10/11)

aCALENDAR GIRLS breaks more records!
The global phenomenon CALENDAR GIRLS has yet again broken its own record - the largest audience for a play - at Blackpool's Winter Gardens Opera House last week! The largest audience for a play now is 2800. Such is the demand to see the show, a new set of dates has been announced running through to May 2012. WHAT'S ON PAGE HERE. (01/10/11)

Additional productions of the successful stage show CALENDAR GIRLS are opening across Europe. A production is running in Prague at the Civic Theatre, and in Bulgaria, at the Theatre of Satyre in Sofia, the award winning stage show opened last week and the Prime Minster came on stage to present the cast with flowers. Other productions in Spain and New Zealand are pencilled for later in the year, and in 2012 the show will open in Mexico, Belgium, Holland and Canada. WHAT'S ON PAGE. (26/04/11)

CALENDAR GIRLS opened in the Canadian City of Manitoba (Manitoba Theatre) a few days ago with an all-Canadian production, directed by Marti Maraden.  The International hit comedy plays until 8 April when it moves to the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto from 15th April - 28th May. aHARMLESS FLIRTING - Surge in sales
Tim Firth's album from 2004 enjoyed a recent surge in sales after Mike Harding played 'SAME THING TWICE' on his BBC Radio 2 show. The track (segued with Willy Russell reading extracts from THE WRONG BOY) has been one of the most requested performance on Mike Harding's show in recent years. aSIGN OF THE TIMES - London's West End
Laurence Olivier Award-winning actor Matthew Kelly will star in Tim Firth’s SIGN OF THE TIMES at the Duchess theatre in London's West End next month, alongside Shameless star Gerard Kearns. A new cast for CALENDAR GIRLS has been announced for 2011, the final year of touring. The new cast features Lynda Bellingham, Jennifer Ellison, Trudie Goodwin, Ruth Madoc, Lisa Riley, Bernie Nolan, Gwen Taylor, Danielle Lineker, Diana Moran, Bruno Langley and Joe Mcgann. (27/12/10)

aCALENDAR GIRLS - raises £3 million!
Tomorrow evening (29th November), four of the original CALENDAR GIRLS, will be attending the opening night of CALENDAR GIRLS at the Theatre Royal in Brighton to celebrate their remarkable fundraising efforts. Their alternative WI calendar caused a frenzy just over ten years ago. Since that time the original CALENDAR GIRLS have raised an astonishing £3 million. Over £500,000 of this has been as a direct result of the stage production which has funded a unique new research project run by Leukaemia & Lymphoma Reseach at St James' Hospital, Leeds. A large portion of profits have been donated by the show's producers David Pugh, Dafydd Rogers and author Tim Firth. (28/11/10)

, the stage show, has now surpassed the box office takings of the hugely successful 2003 film which starred Helen Mirren and Julie Walters, and is the most successful play ever to tour the UK. The show has grossed over £21 million during its tour across the country. (26/10/10)

Tim Firth's recent film screenplay, MAP OF THE UNIVERSE (co-written with Dan Futterman (Capote)) has won The Tribeca Film Institute Sloan Award, a grant award for scripts which have a scientific theme.  The award was presented in New York.  (27/04/10)

The cast for the CALENDAR GIRLS tour in Australia, which starts on 8th April, has been announced. The show will feature some of the best known stars of Australian Stage and Television, including – Lorraine Bayly, Rachel Berger, Rhonda Burchmore, Cornelia Frances, Jean Kittson, Anna Lee and Amanda Muggleton and will be directed by Psyche Scott. CALENDAR GIRLS has been nominated for BEST COMEDY at the WHAT'S ON STAGE awards and the OLIVIER awards. The WHAT'S ON STAGE awards will be announced next Sunday (14 Feb) at the West' End's Prince of Wales theatre. This year's LAURENCE OLIVIER awards will take place at Grosvenor House Hotel on 21 March. 2010 could be CALENDAR GIRLS year as it kicks off on one of the largest UK tours ever for a play. After a record breaking 2009, the hit show opens at Chichester Festival Theatre on 27th January, and tours across the UK for the whole of 2010. Lots of theatres are selling tickets fast and already repeat dates have been penciled in for Birmingham's Hippodrome for later in the year. Productions around the world are also planned. The show is a success in Athens (currently showing) and opens in Norway (22nd Jan) and Buenos Aires later in the year, plus a tour of major cities across Australia beginning in April.
